Waited for long for PUG Dev Con 2012 since i heard of it and got the registration email from Pune User Group. Every year i become part of it and make sure attend it. Every time these guys are arranging excellent session and Microsoft MVPs are taking sessions and ensure everybody goes home with something new at least.
I forwarded registration mail to my collegues in office and many of them registered though few of them attended sessions.
I attended all 4 sessions today.
1st was of Nauzad.....I have been attending session from Nauzad Kapadia since i came to Pune in way back 2004 year. He is excellent in delivering the best sessions to larger groups. No need to tell anything more about it. Session was about HTML 5.....I was hearing many thing about it here and there but having less practical knowledge about. Nauzad is successful in clearing those of my doubts.
2nd session was of Scrum using TFS 2012... Recently My project has started following Agile methodology for SDLC using Scrum techniques. Subodh sohoni was the speaker and as he is more involved in business processes imprvoment rather than coding, he could achieve many practical things needed for implemention of SCRUM. On top of that, Microsoft has a long term vision on SDLC and made life of project manager easier...i should say everyone basically, i.e. Product owner, Scrum team and all who plays critical role in SDLC. Team Foundation server 2012 rocks....it provids light web base screen to update in and out data of SDLC.
3rd session was delivered by Raj Chaudhary about WinRT - 3 Musketters , C++, .NET and Javascript....
It was really highly technical session....i was amazed the way all these three different paradigm come together to deliver excellent applications to human being.....C++ is unmanaged, .NET is managed and Javascirpt is scripting language.......can u imagine how does these use the same compile code.....in short, excellent session...
4th and last was from Abhishek Nair from Infragistics....i love infragistics controls from the day i attended demo in my organization from them.....performance wise no one can beat them....They have an offer going on where in people have to submit the application developed using infragistics control using HTML 5.....need to submit before 9 Sep 2012....you can download control setup from their site ...30 days license...Abhishek delivered session quite nicely...i came to know about knockboat.js and many new things of JQuery as well....Modernizr.js is also a good piece of information i got to know....
